The bad irony is that in Mafia 1, Tommy is the main character. But in Mafia 2, he is not even a 1 minute character, just a person who get smacked in seconds by the second main character.

this ending to me is kinda sad because almost all of clear sky was reduced to nothing it could of been a really cool ending if clear sky ended up storming the CNPP destroying the monolith and c-consciousness. the only problem with that is it would have invalidated the other games.

My theory is that Strelok survived the brainwashing due to residual psi-protection. Instead, he developed amnesia but had a drive to finish what he started.

He freed many stalkers with his sacrifice, it was absolutely the right choice and Destroyed monolith at the cost of the Zones expansion. A fair trade, Strelok is a hero

It’s wild that they made the guy who was sent to kill Tommy the protagonist of Mafia 2, who at that time was just some random dude along with the guy who actually shot Tommy. I wonder if they knew how popular Vito/Joe would become in the games after this one.

The worst thing about english version of Mafia is the voice acting. Just listen to czech version in comparsion to this... It really feels like a COMPLETELY different game. Shame

One thing people misconstrued about, well, all of the endings is that only in one of them do the midwest ever actually make contact with the original brotherhood. Since the game has been re cannonized with the show coming out (cannon game list includes tactics and vault 0 is on a map of all vaults) i belive we'll be seeing a lore of our Midwestern friends pretty soon. As a side note, from three we know that the midwest chapter has atleast in some part pulled put of Chicago. This being because lyons chapter was sent though the area soley to look for them. However most of the midwest chapter would have further west near vault 0. The midwetern chapter would also have been actively avoiding lyons so theirs that too

In the definitive edition vito doesn’t look so much like vito but after playing and loving mafia 2 so much, to see this last scene when you’ve played that mission so much is so good

Back then Cod have 80% of realism and details about the war with emotional messages. Now we have drum mag M1 garand, tactical reload m1911 spec ops style and terrible message of "I shoots nazi's...they died..." or "dO yOu sPeAk jApAnEsE" while all that shit cost 60$

Terri Brosius as Shodan is for me THE MOST important and fascinating thing in SS 2 for last 25 years. Others apsects of the game...nah. ;-) That distorted voice (even in his normal form) is absolutely...Haunting. They should have years ago make 3 and finished the story, when SS 2 have such CLIFFHANGER.
